Father-In-Law Photo Repair

This is a picture of my father-in-law when he was a kid. They don’t have many pictures of him because he was one of the last kids in his family and his parents had moved close to his grandparents, which was the whole reason for taking pictures in the first place.

My mother-in-law asked me if I could do anything with it. I was happy to oblige. One of the first things I learned was how to fix photos in Photoshop. I wanted to show the process. It was a simple enough task that required only a few tools: Spot Healing Brush Tool, Healing Brush Tool, Patch Tool, Close Stamp Tool, a curves filter (to visualize the spots and dust), black and white filter, and a warm photo filter. Enjoy.
